Position Purpose

The Research Manager is responsible for analysing the customer needs and providing high-quality, impactful insights to support strategic decision-making. The role involves understanding business objectives, developing research plans, managing resources effectively, and ensuring that the team delivers comprehensive and actionable research outcomes. The Research Manager will drive innovation in methodologies, enhance the team's research capabilities, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Primary Responsibility

1. Scoping of all new leads, analysing the risks, constraints and providing accurate estimation of effort to customers.
2. Monitor the projects for quality and timeliness in delivery.
3. Provide insightful reports and analysis to help customers to take decisions in quick time.
4. Design innovative ways to enhance customer relationship and loyalty
5. Evaluate current and future industry trends, competitors and provide reports to the management
6. Lead a team of research analysts and responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects.
7. Drive the quality process and implement best practices to raise the delivery standards to achieve the highest customer satisfaction score.
8. Training & mentoring of junior analysts on research methodology and various databases and their application in the research work
9. Ensure project documentation for all completed projects and are in line with the company format and uploaded to knowledge repository tool
10. Develop and maintain workflows to track overall progress and achievement of milestones.
11. Ability to effectively balance multiple projects, work to deadlines, and produce quality deliverables.

Competency / Skills

1. Proven track record in leading complex research projects.
2. Research and consulting experience across multiple industries.
3. Ability to translate research insights into business strategy.
4. Expertise in research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative) and Proficiency in data analysis.
5. Adept on Market Sizing and Analysis, Business Plans and Feasibility Study, Company Profiling, Demographic studies.
6. Strong Analytical reasoning and numerical abilities to interpret large amounts of data.
7. Experience in using research concepts and frameworks like SWOT Analysis, Porter’s 5 Forces Model, PESTEL Analysis etc. Plus, familiarity with referencing styles and databases such as OneSource, Hoovers, IBIS World, etc
8. Conduct critical assessment of current service lines and recommend new ones.
9. A curious mind with a proactive approach, balanced with strong business acumen and people management skills.
10. Proficiency in MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint, desktop research and presentation skills.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
